The Right are no better than the Left. Let’s look at what the Right controlled CIA has done in the name of “democracy”: that in 1942, Prescott Bush, related to those Bushes formerly in the White House, was called Hitler’s Angel by the New York Tribune. In 1946, the OSS/CIA overthrew the Metakas government in Greece; that the U.S. gave at least $60 million to bring to power the former Nazi intelligence network of General Reinhard Gehlen in the first decade following World War II to control the intelligence apparatus in West Germany., In 1953, the U.S. overthrew the popular Mossadegh in Iran and installed the brutal Shah. In 1954, the CIA overthrew the democratically-elected Arbenz government in Guatemala. In 1957, the CIA financed the election of pro-American candidates to the Lebanese Parliament. In 1964, the CIA gave $20 million in assistance for Eduardo Frei to defeat Salvador Allende in Chile. In 1967, the CIA overthrew the democratically-elected government of George Papandreou and installed a military dictatorship; that in 1973, the CIA overthrew the second oldest democracy in the western hemisphere in Chile; that in 1975, the CIA destabilized and forced the dissolution of the Labor government under Prime Minister Gough Whitlam in Australia; that in 1976, the CIA attempted to overthrow Michael Manley’s government in Jamaica.

Use Alisnkey’s rule #5 against them: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.”
When you prod a weak point or fallacy in the liberal agenda, they will certainly call you wing-nut, nut job, crazy right-winger, racist, etc. Just point out that their only defense to a credible argument .. was to throw insults at you.
Liberals pride themselves on being more-educated, better-informed, and of a higher class. When they answer your well-penned argument with, “Conservatwat”, point out that the only part in the debate they felt they could hold was, “nanny nanny boo boo..”.
Another favorite of mine is Alisnkey’s rule #3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy”. This is often not hard to do. Just last night I was in a live chat room watching the live feed for the “Stand With Arizona” rally and some misinformed lefty named AgaisntSB (yeah he misspelled it), threw out how over time more and more Arizonan’s have come to want the immigration bill repealed .. to the point that a majority was taking the “against” position. I put in a link to Rasmussen reports that showed as of May 21st, 71% of AZ citizens supported the bill. He disappeared from the chat shortly thereafter. Taking him outside his expertise… was easy.
Our biggest weakness is the fact that we prefer to live by a common set of rules. Even Alinskey realized this chink in our armor. Rule #5: Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. We should not decide to start abandoning our principles. We should instead keep fighting garbage with fact, point out their infantile strategies, and point out there lack of understanding of the most-critical issues.

I couldn’t agree more, that we need to understand Machiavelli and Alinsky, but we’d be fools to stoop to their level of mis-characterizing our opponents and avoiding factual confrontation on the issues. We’d also be fools to miss Horowitz’ point in the SDS mis-quote of Saul, “The issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution!” (Alinsky said, “…always power and control.”)
