NBC Cafeteria: Worst Person In The World!

February 4, 2010

My latest article at David Horowitz’s NewsReal:

The above photograph is an NBC Cafeteria sign, in honor of Black History Month. Are they the worst person/entity in the world? You decide! I won’t hold my breath for the ever derangedKeith Olbermann of MSNBC to make them so, however. Remember, racism, straight up, asJaneane Garofalo likes to bluster, is totally cool as long as you are of the “correct” political stripe. Olby is just buffoonish enough to consider an entity a purveyor of sweet, sweet liberal policy.

All the sign needs is Bill Clinton, asking for someone to fetch him some coffee. At least the sign is light-colored and not written in “negro dialect”. Harry Reid, therefore, approves!

Some, like Michelle Malkin, think we are being too “Politically Correct” by calling attention to things like this. I don’t agree (I think it’s the first time that I’ve disagreed with her!) This isn’t about being “Politically Correct”; that isn’t the point at all. Instead, it is calling out the PC Police. Every time.

It is bringing attention to the fact that while the Left claims some sort of moral superiority, they are anything but. Much like the Sarah Palin/Rahm Emanuel incident, it is using their own rules against them and making them play by their own rule book.

This is yet another glaring example of the latent racism amongst those who claim to be embracing diversity and post-racial. I wonder if they learned that at NBC Universal’s Diversity Council?

As part of this commitment NBC Universal established the Diversity Council in 2000. Made up of leaders from across the company, the Council has made strides in increasing diversity and creating programs that encourage diverse individuals to pursue careers in media and entertainment or explore business opportunities with the company.

Hey, here’s an idea — stop splitting people up into groups! Try and think like the rest of us. We see people as, you know, people.

Great stuff Lori. You can post to the Jeffersonian blog any time. I hope you will.

Seems that smart Americans (west of the Hudson) are starting to see race-speak as a tail-chasing exercise in futility. Moreover, its divisive, distracting and, unless you’re a leftist bubble-boy like Chris Matthews, it will probably hurt your career.

Truly, race-debate is almost always a snare for the righties: usually part of some manipulative leftist ploy we fall into. There is no way for us to win. Even when we prove Lefties are condescending, hypocritical, lying weasels, its a yawner cuz smart folks already know that. So, I conclude race-speak will soon be dinosauric.

To sum up, the race-debate has all the quintessential characteristics of the NBC operation, literally & figuratively. It’s future is headed the way of their ratings.
Meanwhile, we can help others see why its becoming passé. That’s a good thing.
