I think the real scandal is the implication by Matthews that Black people cannot normally handle complex topics, and are somehow more “tribal” than Barack Obama. Matthews says it was the wide-ranging discussion that Obama had that made him (Matthews) forget that Obama was Black.
Had a Republican or FoxNews host said that, they would be skinned alive by the media and picketed by Sharpton and Jessie Jackson.
