Obama Doesn’t Care About the Troops
Yep, I’m totally taking a page from Kanye’s book. Maybe the President will call me a Jackass too and say that I “acted stupidly”. Then, invite me for a Beer Summit where I can show him what a “typical white lady” is really like. In my fantasy, it entails a stern talking to wherein he’d crumble, as always, and resign, taking Joe Doll Hair Biden and all his Czars with him.
In the alternative, for now I’ll just moan about him here in between shaking my fist in the air angrily. You see, Obama has decided that the most pressing matter at hand is scoring an Olympic victory: Getting the Olympics to come to Chicago. Yet, he seems to care not one whit about scoring *actual* victories in WAR.
Most likely, as Ed Driscoll mentions here, the Olympic committee has already decided to come to Chicago, so Obama is doing this not to actually fight for something — Egads! He might ruin his manicure. Plus, he prefers huggles and apologetic appeasement — but rather to claim credit for something with which he had little to do and to put a check in his “win” column. Yes, he is that naive. He doesn’t seem to realize that most Americans… you know, ones who are actual thinking human beings, care far more about pretty much everything else in the World than getting the Olympics to Chicago. I am fairly certain that most would agree with my “open letter” (OK, a sentence only, but still) to President Obama:
Dear President Obama: Kindly care less about serving Olympics up to Chicago and care more about our soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Obama has talked to the commander in Afghanistan once since taking command more than 2 months ago. ONCE.
The military general credited with capturing Saddam Hussein and killing the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, says he has spoken with President Obama only once since taking command in Afghanistan.
“I’ve talked to the president, since I’ve been here, once on a VTC ,” Gen. Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday.
“You’ve talked to him once in 70 days?” Mr. Martin followed up.
“That is correct,” the general replied.
Obama’s foreign policy appears to be “Whatevs! America is arrogant anyway. But *I’m* super awesome, so now we can all be Best Friends Forever, right buddies? I can haz huggie now?” He cares more about his personal image than he does about anything else, even his job as Commander In Chief.
Trouble is, there are real, dire consequences to his dangerous naivety and ego. Not only for our true friends, like Israel, but also for US. And for those who are putting their lives on the line daily FOR us.
Maybe it’s because he and Michelle are such “impossibly elegant” jet setters. Who has time for anyone or anything else? Oh, you know who does?
